THE PROJECT
Our journey is an opportunity to remind the importance to maintain a constant high level of awareness on climate change.
The trip is an opportunity to underline the importance of the COP21, the 21st Session of the Conference of the Parties to the UNFCCC, which will take place from November 30th to December 11th in Paris. With this project we want to give greater visibility in the media to this event, providing an additional opportunity to meet people also through the ride and the daily stop.
The structure of this website is designed to facilitate the free participation of everyone, even just for a few kilometers, riding with us to show the personal involvement on the climate change issues.
On the other hand, we have got huge support from institutions, associations and single individuals to organize conferences or meetings on climate change in several stops throughout the journey involving, where possible, experts concerned with climate change on local level.
Why ride to Paris?
From November 30th to December 11th, Paris will be hosting the 21st Session of the Conference of the UNFCCC Parties (COP21/CMP11), otherwise known as “Paris 2015”.
COP21 will be a crucial conference, as it needs to achieve a new international agreement on climate, applicable to all countries, with the aim of keeping global warming below 2°C.
The trip
The start will take place on November 21st 2015 at Piazzale Roma, in Venice and after 13 days we plan to arrive in Paris on December 4th.
