The prelude in Venice has just started. As usual, the prelude has taken place from the historical centre of Venice (the famous island) to Mestre.
A few km to underline the importance to connect the city of Venice to the mainland by safe bike path.
At 19 o’clock the caravan will arrive in Mestre (Hotel Tritone – Viale Stazione, 16) where the first event of RWU tour will take place.
This year we’re happy to host an explanation by Sandro Carniel and Georg Umglesser– first Oceanography researchers at the CNR-ISMAR of Venice – regarding the key role that oceans play in climate systems.
After that, Lisa Causin – from Opzione Zero – will present the point of view of local committee regarding the potential effects of climate change.
Before going home, a short briefing with RWU participants for adjusting the last details in view of the departure scheduled for tomorrow morning at 8 o’clock!!!
